The 2022 released sequel River City Girls 2 is receiving a free update! Included in this update are the legendary dragon twins, Billy and Jimmy!
Following an April Fools prank earlier this month, it was suspected that maybe something was up when the Double Dragon Neon-based mutants Bimmy and Jammy were presented with drawn art and even a sprite!
Not long after, it was stated by wayforward on Reddit that there was work on River City Girls related content, of course it was speculated to be some sort of DLC or maybe even a sequel of sorts.
Lastly, Arc System Works Japan released an article late April 24th (morning of the 25th for them!). Making the announcement, the Dragon Twins are making an appearance in River City, the real deal!
Dropping this summer, the upcoming DLC will include:
- Playable Billy and Jimmy Lee
- Double Dragon themed motion comic
- Two new shops
- New accessories and more to be announced!
In their debut, the two most requested characters will be fully integrated into the story, fully voiced by Game Grumps’ Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan.
Both twins will also have a distinct moveset with trademark moves such as the rising knee, cyclone kick, and more, along with 2 new stand-in shops to buy them in!
With Double Dragon Gaiden DLC just dropping last month and now this new development, we can only wonder what will be next for the legendary twins. Whatever happens, you can be sure we’ll have the scoop for you here, so stay tuned! -Mr.Din
