Gamescom 2025 went live today and we have the scoop on some beat em up news from the show! Bitmap Bureau (Final Vendetta) and Limited Run Games team up to bring you “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction”, quite the mouthful for a title isn’t it?
While no release date has been provided yet, the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Steam and all Xbox platforms. The trailer didn’t mention PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch 2 but I’m sure we’ll have more information on that soon!
So here’s the scoop! You’ll be battling against Skeletor and his rogues gallery, scrolling through 12 levels with He-Man, Teela, Man-at-Arms alongside more warriors to be announced. The mechanics will be similar to Golden Axe in which you will have access to magic screen clearing attacks and Battle-Cat as your rideable beast, potentially more beasts as well. Co-op mode features two players and so far no confirmation on online netplay.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is heading to your homes next year, adding to our anticipated 2026 roster!
Unfortunately we won’t be able to get hands on just yet but the game is being demoed on the show floor of Gamescom tomorrow, so if you’re there try it out and let us know what you think!
